Last year, the danish educational system celebrated its 200th anniversary. We
were asked to contribute, by creating an educational tool, that would teach
13-year-olds, about the evolution of communication.
We quickly realised, that to a 13 year old, that topic sounds very boring.
So how could we capture their attention? We decided to turn theory into
practice.
We created a smartphone app, that simulates four historical communication
technologies in one:
The speaking drum, the semaphore, the telegraph and the telephone.
We then created a multiplayer game, that teaches the students how to use the
technologies while playing.
